Independence Power & Light (IPL) transferred the liability and real property of its 87-acre Missouri City Power Plant in Missouri City, Missouri to ERT.
IPL closed their coal-powered plant in 2015. The plant, over 60 years old, was plagued with a number of environmental issues, including asbestos, lead-based paint, PCBs, petroleum, and an ash pond.
EOI/ERT demolished the plant, remediated the soil and have leased the property for productive use.
